Visceral Mobilization

“Everything is in motion. Everything flows. Everything is vibrating.”  – William Hazlitt

What is visceral mobilization?
“Viscera” refers to the body’s internal organs, including the liver, heart and stomach. To work properly, these organs need to move smoothly, with fluidity. For any number of reasons, however, their movements can become hindered, causing problems with the musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urinary, respiratory or digestive systems. A technique called Visceral Manipulation requires the specific placement of soft manual forces to encourage the normal mobility, tone and motion of the viscera and their connective tissues Using gentle, rhythmic manipulation, Dr. Yanai works to release the source of tension, restoring harmony and mobility to your body’s vital organs and the systems they function within.

How does visceral mobilization work?

Visceral Manipulation is based on the specific placement of soft manual forces to encourage the normal mobility, tone and motion of the viscera and their connective tissues. When performed by Dr. Yanai, these gentle manipulations can improve the functioning of individual organs, the systems the organs function within, and the structural integrity of the entire body.
